Meeting Schedule

The Central Committee for Douglas County Democrats meets the fourth Thursday of the month and is open to all party members.

Our Next Meeting Is February 25, 2010.

ROBIN HARTMANN, Ocean Program Director for the Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition, will be the featured speaker for the Douglas County Democrats monthly meeting on Thursday, February 25 at Chi’s Garden Restaurant, 528 S.E. Stephens Street in Roseburg.

Ms. Hartmann will discuss the progress being made by the coalition of environmentalists and the commercial fishing industry towards the establishment of Marine Reserves on the Oregon Coast. Ms. Hartmann’s talk will begin at 6:00 p.m. preceded by dinner and followed by the monthly Democratic meeting.

Also featured at the upcoming meeting will be our own SARA BYERS, newly announced candidate! Sara is challenging Bruce Hanna for his House District 7 seat. Please come to hear our brave new candidate talk about her issues and how she plans to un-seat Mr. Hanna!

Central Committee Meetings are normally held at Chi's Restaurant on Stephens St. in Roseburg (just south of Washington St.). Come at 5:00 if you want to network and have dinner. At 6:00 p.m. we have a speaker. The Business Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.


Democratic Women's luncheon meetings are the second Thursday of every month, 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Democratic Headquarters, 827 S.E. Cass, Roseburg.

THE NEXT DEMOCRATIC WOMEN’S LUNCHEON will be held February 11, 2010, 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Democratic Headquarters.

Bring your concerns, questions, and doubts as well as your brown bag lunch to headquarters at the above address. Drinks will be provided.

The Women in Black National Site

The Women in Black meet in front of the BLM office every Friday from 12:30 to 1:00 to demonstrate for peace against violence. (Attendence is NOT limited to women. Anyone who feels that violence is not a tool of discussion is welcome to attend)
