We do not receive any money from the National Democratic Party and in order to keep the local office functioning we need to solicit money for expenses.

Although all of our workers are unpaid volunteers we still have to pay rent and utilities on the office space, the costs of publishing materiasl and this website, utilities, etc, etc, etc.

To enable us to do that, we have started asking those who feel that pledging a small monthly contribution can be a regular reminder to them of how important the democratic process is.

The TRUE BLUE DEMOCRATS were officially launched in June with the designing of new Buttons for our True Blue contributors.  Please contact Sara Byers for information on how to join!

As a resident of Oregon, you can claim a tax credit of up to $50 ($100 for a married couple filing jointly) for your political contributions. Please consider taking advantage of that tax credit every year, not just in election years. Donations to the Democratic Party of Douglas County will help us keep our new office open and do the important grass roots organizing that will help us be more successful in the next elections.
