Health Care for All -- Oregon

Health Care for All – Oregon
Important Organizational Meeting
When: Monday, January 28th, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Douglas County Library (Ford Room)
Why: To win universal health care for all Oregon. And for the nation.
To learn more, meet activists, and adopt strategies to win universal health care.
In the past year, a new coalition of organizations was formed, called Health Care for All – Oregon, whose mission is: “to win a comprehensive, equitable, publicly funded, high quality, universal health care system serving everyone in Oregon and the United States.”
This is a grassroots effort to raise awareness for the need for universal health care and to see it instituted in the state of Oregon.
We are working to start a Health Care for All – Oregon chapter in Douglas County. I am hoping YOU will become a member of the new Douglas County chapter.
We will be conducting a participatory presentation about how to talk about and take action to win health care for all. We will meet on Monday, January 28th, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. in the Ford Room of the Douglas County Library. Please save the date. You will be able to meet other like-minded folks, find out more about Health Care for All Oregon, and learn ways that you can get involved.
Please plan to attend.
If you plan to join us on the 28th, or can't make that date but want to be kept informed/get involved, or have any questions, please email me.
One more date to save: Feb. 4th! Rally for Health Care as a Human Right, in Salem, Oregon on the Capitol Steps, 11:30 a.m. This is the first day of the new legislature. Let your representatives know what you want.
You are receiving this message because you signed up at the Mad As Hell Doctors meeting in 2011, and/or you have expressed an interest in universal health care. If I've sent this message to you in error, please let me know.
Thank you!
